Abstract

PURPOSE:To make a small sized and light weight typewriter having a low consumption power by a method wherein an assembled ink-on-demand type ink jet head and ink tank is provided separately for each of the colors and a simple multi-color printing is performed only by replacing the assembly. CONSTITUTION:Assembled printing head 17 having an ink-on-demand type ink jet 6 and an ink tank 1 is moved in a direction X by a driving part 12, and a printing is performed on the recording paper 7 by ink liquid drip 5. When it is desired to perform a different colored printing, a cable line is pulled out of a connector 19 arranged at a midway of a cable line 18 for connecting an amplifier circuit 11 and piezoelectric element 2, further pulled out of the printing head support table 20. Then, the assembly may be replaced simply with other colored printing heads and a multi-colored printing may be performed.
