Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a surface treating material for a heat exchanger with superior corrosion resistance by adding a specified wt. percentage of Bi and Sn to Pb. CONSTITUTION:A treating material consisting of >=0.5wt% Bi, >=1.0wt% Sn and the balance Pb is prepared. When this material is used to treat the surface of a heat exchanger, it showns superior corrosion resistance and enhances the work efficiency because of its low m.p. In addition, this material provides appearances such as surface luster comparable with those of a conventional material.
