Abstract

NEW MATERIAL:The disazo dye of formulaI(X is H, Cl, Br, methyl or acylamino; Y is H, Cl, metyl, methoxy or ethoxy; R1 and R2 are H, cyclohexyl, aryl, aralkyl, alkyl, or lower alkyl substituted with OH, lower alkoxy, halogen, etc.).
EXAMPLE: The compound of formula II.
USE: It dyes polyester fiber (blends) in clear reddish blueWblue color having excellent color fastness to light, sublimation and water. It has good temperature stability and pH stability of dyeing.
PROCESS: Aniline is diazotized and coupled with 2-amino-3-cyanothiophene of formula III, and the resultant monoazo compound of formula IV is diazotized again. The product is coupled with the aniline compound of formula V to obtain the objective dye.
