IN A VIDEORECORDER IN WHICH THE LUMINANCE SIGNAL (Y) IS RECORDER BY FREQUENCY MODULATION OF A PICTURE CARRIER (B) A VIDEO TEXT SIGNAL (VT) IS RECORDER BY PROCESSING IT IN SEPARATE PATH AND, DURING PREDETERMINED VIDEOTEXT LINES, RECORDING IT WITHOUT MODULATION INSTEAD OF THE PICTURE CARRIER (B). DURING RECORDING OF THE VIDEOTEXT SIGNAL, AN FM MODULATOR (7) FOR THE LUMINANCE SIGNAL AND AN ADDING CIRCUIT (5) MAY BE SWITCHED OFF. DURING REPRODUCTION, A CIRCUIT FOR THE CORRECTION OF TIMEBASE ERRORS MAY BE CONNECTED INTO THE PATH OF THE VIDEO TEXT SIGNAL. (FIG. 1)
