Abstract

A pipe provided with a breaking piece, is arranged so that the breaking piece which normally forms a stop for a branch pipe, can be broken off and pushed away when a predetermined loading limit is exceeded. The breaking piece forms a stop, attached by a narrowed down section, possibly by an adhesion layer. The outer and inner idas. of the breaking piece are smaller than those of the socket body. Pref. the breaking piece is of PVC, whilst the pipe section and the socket may also be of plastic material. The breaking piece may be attached to the outside of the pipe section penetrating the other, and in the case of a pit with a shaft in sections, two pipes may be fitted with a breaking pieces, so that in the event of overloading both shaft sections can move relatively to the other. Provides a stop which whilst it limits the further penetration of one pipe into the other during normal operation, prevents damage when excess load is applied due to e.g. subsidence, by allowing the further passage when a predetermined limit is reached, so that excavation and the relaying of the drain is not necessary.
