1413123 Tool handles A BENZ 13 Dec 1972 [15 Dec 1971 15 March 1972 25 Sept 1972] 57445/72 Heading B4K [Also in Division A4] A tool supporting handle or structure particularly for supporting a window cleaning tool at considerable heights comprises a plurality of rods 1 coupled together and braced by at least one wire rope anchored near the ends of the rods (at 2, 8 in Fig. 1) and supported laterally outwardly of the rods between the anchoring points by at least one support member 3, 6, 7. The bracing wires may be tensioned by outward adjustment of the lateral supports or by a ratchet and lever or lever device (Figs. 8, 9, 13, not shown) mounted on the lowermost rod section. Diagonal and peripheral bracing wires 6, 9 (Figs. 1, 1a) may be used to strengthen and stabilize the handle where necessary. The rod sections may be coupled together by plug sleeves 5, Fig. 6, having spring loaded members 26 adapted to engage aligned holes 25 in the rods 1 and sleeve 5. The device may form a manually held handle or a structure as in Figs. 10, 11 for manual or motor controlled operation of the tool. The device 90 shown in Fig. 10 is mounted for vertical sliding movement by means of a slide 107 arranged on a strut 105, the latter being supported via tube 103 on a pair of wheels 101 for movement parallel to a wall 102. A counter-balance weight 109 may be arranged at the base of the structure or alternatively as shown at 118 attached via a rope-117, 116 and pulley 114 to the upper portion of the structure, the roller 113 running on a rail 112 provided at the uppermost part of the wall 112. A projecting switch 119 may be positioned on the upper end of the tool structure to control the reversal of a motor drive when the device reaches, e.g. the projecting edge of a window. In an alternative arrangement the device may be mounted on a vehicle with the wire bracing ropes attached to the vehicle and tensioning achieved by hydraulically hoisting the rod unit. In an alternative embodiment (Figs. 14-17, not shown) the rod sections are not enclosed by a lattice work of bracing wires as in Fig. 1 but are braced by wires spaced from the rods in one lateral direction only. Claims 1. Device with a handle for starting the equipment, especially for washing walls and windows at high heights, characterized by the fact that the handle (1) consists of many sections (1a-f) connected with each other by means of removable plug connectors ( 5, 25, 26, 27), while the bar (1) is equipped with at least one line (4, 194), which runs parallel to the bar in the middle of the length of the bar and is kept at a distance from it by means of support joints (3b, 6b, 7b, 193b-e), and at the ends of the stick, the cable runs diagonally towards the stick and is attached to the ends of the stick with fasteners. 2.
