WILLIAM BRACE, OF W ASHINGTONV ILLE, OHIO.
IMPROVEMENT IN WORK-BOXES.
Specification forming part 0f Letters Fatent No. 138,372, dated April 29, 1873; application filed April 5, 1873.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, WILLIAM BRAGE, of Washingtonville, in the county of Mahoning and State of Ohio, have invented a new and useful Improvement in Ladies Work-Boxes; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the saine, reference being had to the accompanying drawing forming part of this specification.
The invention relates to ladies work-boxes, in which are kept their spools of different numbers of threads or silks, needles, and other matters. It consists in making them portable and easy to be handled by the construction and arrangement of parts hereinafter fully described and pointed out in the claim.
Figure l is a perspective view, and Fig. 2 is a vertical section.
In the i drawing, A represents the base, in which is swiveled the central bolt B, that is rigidly attached to the work-box body or case. G is a case in which are four drawers, D, having a series ot' holes numbered serially, and leading to a corresponding number of thread or silk upon a loose spool on an inside spindle, d. These drawers may all be devoted to this purpose, or a portion thereof may be partitioned off for something else. E E are two small apartments placed over the top of case C and provided with hinged covers. These may be also partitioned or not, and are intended to receive various little articles pertaining to ladies work. Having thus described my invention,what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
rlhe case C, provided with drawers D D therein, the needle-cups F F, and apartments E E thereupon, swiveled tothe movable base A and having handle G on top, as and for the purpose described.
