DESIGN FOR A COOKING-STOVE.

Be it known that we, GEORGE W. COPE and \VILLIAM L. BERTRAM, citizens of the United States, rcsiding'at Detroit, in the county of \Vayneand State of Michigan, have invented and produced a certain new and original Design for a Stove, of which the following, is a specification, reference being had therein to the aceompanyinp thawing, in which the figure is a perspective view of a stove.

The reference-letter A designates the base section ot'the stove, rectangularin con figuration and provided at its corners with curved supporting-legs B. Scrollwork of rococo design, as shown, appears upon the side and end plates 0 and D, respectively, of the basesection and upon the stove-legs B thereof.

Immediately above the base and projecting forward at some distance from the front thereof is the hearth-section E, rounded at its front or outerend and having scrollwork, as shown, upon its sides F.

G designates the hearth, which extends beyond the front of the section E some little distance.

H represents the stove-body, supported upon the base'section and having the fiat top I parallel with the hearth G. J representsa bracket or shelf projecting laterally from one side of the stove-bodyimmediately above the base-section. Above this shelf and extending from the latter to substantially the stovetop is an oven-door K, bulged outwardly and provided at its center with the ornamental plate L. l orwardly ot' the door described is a fuel-door M, extending from the stove-top midway to the base-section. Immediately beneath the fuel-door is a bulging: plate 0, and projecting laterally from the stove side intermediate the fuelaloor and plate is a shelf P in a plane parallel to the stove-top. Upon each stove-door deseri bed and the bu lging plate referred to is ornamental scrollwork of roooco design, as shown.

The stove-front is provided with the door Q, extending from the hearth in proximity to the top I, havingornamental circular d raftopenings R thereon, as illustrated, and the ornamental plate S thereon. Immediately above this door is an extension T, which projects outward and upward from the upper portion of the stove-front and merges into the stove-top.

The essential feature of the design resides in the ornamental scrollwork o-f rocooo design upon the stove side and base.

What we claim as our invention is Thedesign fora stove substantially as herein shown and described.
