Be it known that I, ALFRED HEALD, oi
Philadelphia, Pennsyl 'ania, have invented a Design for a barpet-Pattern of which the following is a specification The acconlpairving photographic illustration represents suflicient of a carpctpattern to illustrate my design, the remainder being merely a repetition of that which appears.
The design has a central figure, A,surrounding which are four figures 13, the latter inclos ing spaces in which are figures l). The figure A has a central t'oliated ornament, and is provided with a row of spots around its outer edge, which is indented at the corners and on each side, as shown. The figure B has a central ornament, b, and the space between this and the border is filled with leaves and stems.
The central portion of the figure I) has arms which partly embrace octagonal figures (1, arranged on four sides oi the central ornament. The spaces between the various figures are provided with minor ornamentation of a character too clcarlyshown to need description.
Irrespective of the colors employed, 1 claim- The design for a earpet-patte n, as described, and as illustrated in and by the accompanying drawing.
