What to Stream This Weekend

It's a weekend of rebirths for Daredevil, Meghan Markle, and the Gemstone family.

When it comes to streaming video, the content pile is vast, and you've got the whole weekend to decide how you want to slice it. There are now too many shows and movies to choose from, spread across too many video-streaming services. We make it easy for you. Each week, we highlight the streaming content we're excited to watch or think you should binge. Fire up your media-streaming device of choice and start watching.

Deli Boys (Hulu)

A pair of Pakistani-American brothers have been living the good life thanks to their baba's bodega-based empire. Or so they thought. When he dies and they have to take over his business, they find a lot of it was not exactly aboveboard.

Daredevil: Born Again (Disney+)

The Marvel Defenders shows on Netflix were good (Iron Fist, we're not talking about you), and it was a loss to streaming when they were canceled with the introduction of Disney+. Daredevil has been born again, though, as the title of this new show plainly states. Once again, Charlie Cox is Matt Murdock/Daredevil and Vincent D’Onofrio is crime boss Wilson Fisk/Kingpin. The two go up against each other again as Fisk, who claims to be rehabilitated, is now mayor of New York City. Someone tell him that you can be a convicted criminal and the mayor of New York at the same time.

Heretic (Max)

Hugh Grant has played some bad guys in his time, but not like the one he plays in Heretic. He's a man with some strong beliefs about faith and an even stronger view on "thou shalt not kill." They come into play when two young Mormon missionaries knock on his door.

With Love, Meghan (Netflix)

Meghan Markle, excuse us, Meghan Sussex, has been the target of more vitriol than most people could handle. So she just wants to live a happy life in Montecito and on TV screens where she feeds her chicken, entertains her friends, and sells you jam. With Love, Meghan, is a luxe-looking lifestyle show to watch while you wrangle your laundry on the weekend.

Plankton: The Movie (Netlfix)

Having a computer wife is not such a strange thing anymore. Nevertheless, it becomes too much for Plankton when his digital spouse usurps his plans for taking over the world in this SpongeBob SquarePants movie.

The Righteous Gemstones: Season 4 (Max)

The Righteous Gemstones has come to its last season. Before it goes to the big streaming service in the sky, all of the members of the family move into new phases in their lives.
