Yosemite National Park suspended the sale of summer online reservations for its most popular campgrounds.

It was led by members of the Methodist Episcopal Church who built an enormous campground in Temescal Canyon for annual gatherings.

Much of Angeles National Forest reopened Thursday after a weeks-long closure because of wildfires and red flag warnings, but some beloved trails and campgrounds will remain inaccessible while the land recovers from the blazes.

But after almost three weeks at the campground, the couple is facing a Wednesday deadline to leave.

Nowadays, there’s one 31-site campground about half a mile’s walk from Scorpion Anchorage.
