Jon McClure, the lead singer from the Sheffield band Reverend and the Makers, recently purchased "an old-fashioned English bandstand guitar" from the new shop.

“When we get on the bandstand,” he told the Albany, N.Y.,

“All the landscaping was gone. The boathouse was a mess. The bandstand was boarded up.”

Bingley Music Town, which runs the bandstand area which showcases local acts, said that they were "trying to move our bit of the festival elsewhere".

Originally it was a lushly landscaped civic gathering spot for bandstand music in a dusty frontier town.
