President Donald Trump has moved beyond "American carnage," leaving the nihilistic outlook of his first term behind in favor of gleeful bullying and childish name-calling.

The “Saw” movies may be blunt in their messaging and even more forthright with their carnage, but they are also surprisingly hopeful.

Considering the carnage inflicted upon the country by the Trump administration over the past four weeks you would think that the GOP would be the most unpopular political party in the country.

So why does Perkins avoid what’s so inherently human in “The Monkey” and go for the distancing effect of cartoonish characters and Looney Tunes carnage?

But for those who are merely interested in the gore in this glorified splatter film, the carnage starts early and rarely lets up.
