I love all the little chewy things in there.

A dozen chewy, classic bagels paired with Nova Scotia smoked salmon and whipped cream cheese makes for an unforgettable brunch spread.

It is light yet dense, tangy, sweet and spicy and velvety smooth, except for the chewy texture of the crust, which ranks for some as the best part.

At the bottom of the list, along with chewy sugar candies, are pure sugar candies such as lollipops, Jolly Ranchers, gummies and Smarties.

As I looked down at the smoked salmon-topped slice of admittedly livened-up Domino’s pizza, I couldn’t help but wish it had a base more inviting than the franchise’s weighty mess of chewy dough.
