The Russian defence ministry said 337 drones were intercepted over Russia and 91 of them were shot down over the Moscow region.

Russia's defence ministry later reported that overall 337 Ukrainian drones were either intercepted or destroyed overnight in the Moscow and nine other Russian regions.

Meanwhile Ukraine has continued to target Russia, whose defence ministry said its forces had intercepted 31 Ukrainian drones overnight.

Responding to the accusations, Trudeau said on Tuesday there was "no justification" for the new tariffs, because less than 1% of the fentanyl intercepted at the US border came from Canada.

Canadian officials have stressed that despite Trump's ominous rhetoric over drugs, only 1% of fentanyl intercepted at the border comes from Canada.
