I wanted to share the books I read in the first quarter of this year (and at the end of last year), and break down these post into smaller chucks that way these posts are a lot less crazy. Plus, that long post was a lot of work, and I would like it not to be lol. I going to categorize it the same as last year, and still linking the Goodreads, keeping them as spoiler free as possible. These will be the same as last year, in they won’t be summaries of books, just a small blurb about what I thought about it.
This is something that I like to dabble with storytelling using tarot cards, I don’t do it a lot, but I do it a good bit. Mostly, I use it more on a scene-to-scene basis within the outline I already have written, because sometimes I am too general in my outline, while others it’s super detailed. Both are fine, but at times if I am too general I get confused on how to get to the next scene or next chapter, so in times like that we have tarot.
Another roundup post to let everyone know about the new decks I got this year, and while I did do a yearly spread for 2024, for some reason I never posted about it. This time I am sharing it. I have not been active blogging this year, and while I hope to change that, it still might not be super active, but if you look at the footer of my site, I do still update.
So, I thought it would be a fun post to talk about the 60 books I have read this year; though it might have been more, I am not great at keeping track.. If you want to follow along, I do have my currently reading in my footer. However, I will leave books there if I am reading a book or not reading anything currently. I will link the books on Goodreads because I will write a short blurb about the books and not what they are about, so if you are interested, it will be linked. I am keeping these shorts as spoiler free as possible.
I thought it would be a fun roundup to introduce the new decks that I got the last time I posted, which was over a year ago. Each deck brings in something new and fun as my collection has grown. Not only that, but I went to my first NWTS, and that was such a fantastic event that I will talk about a bit. I’m also excited to share insights into my trip to Portland and going back to San Diego.
