Breaking Ground at #ZeroCon25! Last week, our Founder & CEO, Diego Mariscal, and Program Director, Santiago Garcia Mendez, took the stage at the United Nations in Vienna, Austria. as part of Zero Project 2GI was present in many discussions, including a panel discussion with Gideon (Gidi) Grinstein of TOM Tikkun Olam Makers, Klaus Hoeckner of Accessible Technology Incubator Austria (Hilfsgemeinschaft der Blinden und Sehschwachen Österreichs), Archie Moberly of Seedstars, and Varun Chandak of Access to Success Organization, moderated by Elaine E. Katz, MS, CCC-SP of Kessler Foundation, on the funding and scaling challenges that assistive technologies experience and how our businesses have developed models that have successfully funded and accelerated the dissemination of assistive technologies and startups. Diego also spoke at The Business Case for Disability-Driven Innovation panel with Michael Hess of Blind Institute of Technology, Sarah Mark, MA of Salesforce, and author Robert (Bob) Ludke as moderator. The highlight of the event was a thought-provoking discussion between Diego and Mary Fernandez-Arias, MBA of Cisco, moderated by Philip Minardi of BuildWithin, which explored how our apprenticeship initiative will empower disabled founders to learn from seasoned entrepreneurs. But that wasn't all! We're thrilled to announce that 2GI has been awarded the Innovative Solution: Inclusive Employment and ICT for 2025.
