Norway’s economic growth has been modest for two and a half years. High inflation and consequent interest rate hikes have had the effect of dampening activity. At the same time, unemployment has risen from a low level. It is currently around 4 per cent, in line with the average for the 2010s.

In the period of March 24th – March 30th the export price of fresh salmon came to NOK 84.45 per kilo, down by 5.2 per cent compared to the previous seven-day period.

There were 2.3 million guest nights at commercial accommodation establishments in February 2025, an increase of 2.1 percent compared to February last year. The increase is caused by a higher number of foreign guest nights.
