Yle News' voter pulse series tested the temperature of the electorate in Oulu, northern Finland, and found health care reform and immigration to be some of the key issues on the agenda.
"I think the biggest issue right now is health care," John told Yle News. "And of course I know a lot of people are thinking about the immigrants, especially here in Oulu since we had some pretty big scandals," he added.
On Wednesday an Oulu district court handed down a 44-month sentence to a 44-year-old man convicted on charges of aggravated child sexual abuse and aggravated rape involving a 10-year-old victim. The verdict comes after police began investigating several cases of suspected child sexual abuse in the city late last year.
Apart from health care, immigration and education, interviewees also cited climate change as one of the major concerns that will be guiding their election decision-making.
"Global warming, climate change, I think that's the most important thing at the moment," Lotta commented.
