Tampere student Thinh Nguyen's internship drama sparked a social media storm when he posted his grievances on LinkedIn after his new employer withdrew his job offer at the last minute.

"I immediately realised I got into big trouble because I had cancelled everything in Tampere at that time. In other words I was ready for my relocation [to Helsinki] and starting the job in four days," he told APN.

APN talks to Salla Hakoköngäs from a trade union-funded summer worker helpline to find out what interns worried about exploitation can do.

We also hear from Julia Hsiao-Pei Liao who has started a petition to reform Migri in hopes of making the immigration service more user friendly.
