Students Prone to Health Concerns

Some 41 percent of women and 26 percent of male university students suffer daily from health related problems, a new survey reveals. Students are prone to physical symptoms such as stomach, neck and shoulder pains, colds and tiredness.

The symptoms are not necessarilly indicative of any illness but are often related to the student's situation in life, studying itself, lifestyle and human relations.

Women show more frequent symptoms than men. On the other hand, men tend to give expression to their poor health by drinking or aggressive behaviour.

Physical symptoms, mental pressure, dissatisfaction with health care services and study difficulties were frequently mentioned in the study by the Student's Health Care Trust.
