Pharmacists' Strike Set to Expand If No Pay Deal Reached

Talks to solve the dispute involving pharmacists and dispensers continue this morning, to avoid further strike action.

The strike by pharmacists is set to expand next Monday if no deal is reached. The dispute would then affect over half of the country's pharmacies particularly those in major centres.

The Finnish Pharmacists Association wants to address deficiencies in member pay packets and is demanding an average pay hike of 500 euros over a period of two to three years.
