One of Finland's most successful games companies, Rovio, is to go public, listing its shares on the stock market in Helsinki.

Rovio was catapulted to international success in 2009 with the release of the first 'Angry Birds' mobile game, and since then has launched a branding business and even an Angry Birds film off the back of the hit product.

The company's games have been downloaded some 3.7 billion times, and the firm says it has some 80 million active players each month.

The firm announced last month that its second quarter revenue had jumped 94 percent this year, making a second quarter profit of 31 million euros. That brought to an end several difficult years for the firm, with the Angry Birds film helping the company to diversify revenues.
