Finland won the 2024 Men's World Floorball Championship on Sunday evening in a thrilling 5-4 win over Sweden in the final in Malmö.
Sweden led 4-0 in the second period, before the Finnish team launched a barely-believable comeback to win 5-4 in extra time with a goal from Miska Mäkinen.
Finland's other goalscorers were Heikki Iiskola, Justus Kainulainen, who scored twice, and Aaro Astala.
Since the tournament was first held in 1996, only two teams have ever claimed the title — Sweden 10 times and Finland, following Sunday's win, 5 times.
Finland's previous world title wins came in 2008, 2010, 2016 and 2018. The next tournament will be held in 2026 in the Finnish city of Tampere.
Sweden had also never previously lost a world championship game on home soil — until this year's tournament when they lost twice to Finland, once in the earlier rounds and again in the final.
