Chamber Music Festival: The Four Elements

Nature and the four elements have inspired us to curate this year’s FRSO chamber music festival. The ancients back in Antiquity already believed the cosmos consisted of fire, water, air and earth. Our human need to reflect on our relation to nature has fired composers, as indeed other artists, throughout the history of Western music. The planners of this horn of plenty, Laura Vikman and Yuki Koyama, have come up with a package in which water plays, fire dances, the wind tosses the flowers in the garden and the earth is created.
