Description
Metal floor on chassis for passenger vehicles. The invention relates to a metal floor on chassis for passenger vehicles, in particular buses. So far, wood has mostly been used as a building material for such floors; but this has the disadvantage that the constructions are not resistant to moisture and weather conditions. Vehicle floors have already been made from metal, but the known designs are heavy or not rigid enough.
According to the invention, a light metal floor of sufficient rigidity should be achieved in that U-shaped sheet metal supports supported on the chassis frame are fastened with their leg ends to the underside of a smooth base plate, the distances between the leg ends of a carrier and between the adjacent leg ends of adjacent ones Carriers are no more than 25 cm tall.
Preferably, the shape of the sheet metal girders is chosen so that they form trapezoidal box girders together with the floor panel, whereby they are reinforced at the support points on the chassis by stiffening plates of the same profile: The drawing shows a longitudinal section through an embodiment of the floor according to the invention shown.
The U-shaped sheet metal support 1, 1 'are based on the chassis frame 2 and are fastened there by rivets or screws, not shown ben. The ends 4, 5 and 4 ', 5' of the legs 3, 3 'of this sheet metal carrier are bent outwards and rigidly connected to the smooth bottom plate 6 by welding or riveting. The sheet metal girders 1, 1 'form together with the floor panel 6 box girders of trapezoidal cross-section, the floor panel forming the longer of the parallel sides of the trapezoid.
At the points 7, at which the carrier 1, 1 'are based on the chassis frame, are the same profile, d. H. U-shaped reinforcement plates 8 are also provided. The distances 9 between the attachment points of the leg ends 4, 5 and 4 ', 5' of each cross beam are approximately the same size as the distances B between the attachment points 4 ', 5 of the adjacent legs 3, 3' of two adjacent beams. The distances A and B are at most 25 cm, i.e. not greater than the length of a central foot.
