1389419 Basin/bidet units H W MAIERGERBER 20 Oct 1972 [20 Oct 1971] 48320/72 Heading A4N A washing appliance comprises a wash bowl 1, a bidet 3, and a set of water supply and drain fittings, the bidet being located below the bowl for pivotal movement about a vertical axis 15 between an inoperative position 7 and an operative position 8 in which it projects out from the bowl pedestal 2 beyond the wash bowl. The bidet in its operative position may be covered by a member 30 which converts the bidet into a seat or which itself may be used as a shelf. The appliance including the pipes may be formed as a unit of expanded polyurethane or glass-fibre reinforced plastics. The bidet has curved lateral edges forming a saddle-like shape.
