Abstract

176,994. Eva, A. Feb. 2, 1921. Boxes made from special blanks; lined boxes.-A tubular carton a, Fig. 5, having the usual folding end flaps a<2>, a<5>, has a flexible lining b, Fig. 2, extending beyond the open end of the carton and forming an unbroken continuation thereof, before being folded down. The lining is secured at b<1> to the carton and at b<2>, b<3> to a pair of opposite end flaps a<5>. In closing the carton th.e end flaps a<5> are first turned inwards, the lining b becoming creased into V- form and being folded down upon the end flaps and below the flap a<2> as these latter flaps are turned down and secured. If desired the upper edge portions of the lining may be supplied with paste or adhesive. According to the Provisional Specification, the lining may be creased to facilitate the folding and its shape and area may bo varied.
