Abstract

Folding boxes; fittings, internal.-A folding box is made from a cardboard &c. blank by turning up sides 3, 4, Figs. 1 and 2, at right-angles to the bottom 2 and then folding a skeleton part 13 - - 16 over the open top of the box, flaps 9, 10, 19, 20 being folded in so as to close the ends of the box. A glued flap 21 is secured to the back of the box just below the hinged lid 1, which is secured in its closed position by tucking its shaped edge 23 under the rim 13. In a modification, part of the front 4 is hinged to turn down as shown in Fig. 4, and an extension flap 25 folds over the lid 1, which has slots 28 to receive locking-tabs 26.
