Exhaust-silencers.-A silencer comprises an expansion chamber c provided internally with a baffle element made of wires disposed radially around an axial stem b, preferably in the form of a helical brush-like fin or web a. The baffle may be made by laying a number of wires across a strip of metal, securing them temporarily by cement, and twisting the strip.
