Abstract
224,000. Hyde Welding Co., Ltd., Walton & Brown, Ltd., and Barlow, J. R. Aug. 3, 1923. Tubes of steel, iron or alloys thereof, made from strip metal with overlapping edges, have the joint united by the process described in Specification 5232/10. The inside of the tube at this point is coated with copper and the parts are heated to the melting point of the copper in an atmosphere of hydrogen. The joint mav be a scarf or rabbeted tongue and groove joint. The copper may be applied in powder form. According to the Provisional Specification the tubes may have butt joints. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 153,530, [Class 83 (iv), Metals, Working].
