Abstract

228,398. British Thomson-Houston Co., Ltd., (General Electric Co.). April 9, 1924. Transformers. - A highvoltage transformer, in which the high-voltage winding 2 is carried by vertically-mounted elongated insulator bushings 6, is mounted in a casing comprising a lower metallic section 4 and an upper insulating section 5, the insulating section surrounding the upper part of the transformer and being provided with an outlet cover 11. The windings 2, 3 surround the central limb of a horizontal core 1 mounted on a plate 7 secured between the two sections of the casing.
