Abstract

273,370. British Thomson-Houston Co., Ltd., and Trencham, H. March 19, 1926. Transformers. - The insulating bushing of a transformer &c., contains a fuse and an impedance in series between the terminals of the bushing. Insulating tubes 23, 24 within the bushing 3 support a fuse cartridge 30 and an impedance 25 that are connected by spring contacts 34. The upper end of the impedance is connected to a spring button 21 that forms a contact between the movable transformer and the fixed conductor. The inner insulating tubes are covered with tape or other insulation 26, and the surrounding space is filled with insulating compound. An earthing sheath may be provided.
