Abstract
231,090. Kalling, B. M. S. Oct. 6, 1924. Resistances, self-supporting.-In a furnace having a heat generating element a in the form of a hollow cylinder of graphite slit longitudinally alternatively from opposite ends, the heating element is coupled to a polyphase supply at a number of points in accordance with the number of phases. In the furnace shown, the heating element is connected to a three-phase supply by three equidistant carbon rods g. With twophase current four equidistant conductors are provided. Specification 222,008 is referred to.
