Abstract

252,480. Donald, P., and Rownson, Drew, & Clydesdale, Ltd. March 7, 1925. Rackets.-Relates to a racket of the kind having a frame and handle formed in one continuous strip of metal which is in itself rigid, and consists in that the strip is of channel-section and the channel, being outwards, contains a non-rigid strip of fibre or the like to prevent the stringing from chafing on the metal. As shown, the racket comprises a frame 2 and handle 3 formed of channel section metal, the channel containing a strip of fibre 7 to protect the strings. The racket is completed by a bridge-strip 5 and wedge-piece 6 which are joined together and to the frame 2 by means of tubular rivets 6<a> through which the strings are adapted to pass.
