Pulverulent-fuel burners.-A burner for pulverulent fuel and air mixtures comprises a flared nozzle 1 fitted with two or more wedge-shaped elements 2 independently adjustable about vertical axes and two or more similar elements 6 independently adjustable about horizontal axes sn as to divide the fuel and air current into a number of divergent streams. The elements 2, 6 are carried by spindles 3, 7 provided with adjusting handle 5 and fitted with securing nuts 4. Doors 8 provided with sight-hole devices allow the elements to be inspected and removed for cleaning. Means may be provided for operating the elements so as to vary the direction of the streams continuously.
