Abstract

295,637. Loewe, S. Aug. 15, 1927. [Convention date]. Vacuum tubes.-A filament cathode or a heater for a cathode is made of different resistance at different points, the resistance at the ends being greater than at the middle. This may be effected by varying the cross-section, as by attaching a second piece of filament 3 to a tungsten filament 2, or by using materials of different specific resistance, or emissivity. The filament may be used in multiple valves.
