Abstract
400,845. Oil engines. DAIMLERBENZ AKT.-GES., Untert³rkheim, Stuttgart, Germany. March 31, 1933, No. 9771. Convention date, March 31, 1932. [Class 7 (iii).] A pre-combustion chamber c is mounted eccentrically in the cylinder head of a Diesel engine and is formed by three parts f, g, h, which may be separated from the cylinder walls by insulating-material, screwed together and inserted in the cylinder as a unit. The part h has an upward sleeve-like extension which passes through the cooling-jacket b and which embraces the fuel injector d, so that the injector can be removed without draining off the cooling-water. The injector holds the parts of the pre-combustion chamber in position, and an incandescent heating-spiral e is provided.
