[Classes 7 (ii) and 7 (iii)] In an oil engine in which an extension c on the piston a enters the combustion chamber f, the fuel injection nozzle g is arranged near the lowest part of the extension when the piston is in its upper dead centre position. The volume of the chamber may be adjusted by a screw cap h which carries an incandescent igniter or sparkplug k.
