Abstract

404,026. Cartons. LEVER BROS., Ltd., Port Sunlight, and CRAIG, R., Briar Cottage, Parkgate, both in Cheshire. July 8,1932,19348. [Classes 66 and 94 (i).] In a cardboard box 5 of the kind in which the end closure is formed by folding hinged flaps 6, 7, 8, 9 which are extensions of the box sides, a cutting cord 10 is located within the end closure of the box along the angle formed between one of the hinged end flaps and the box side of which it is an extension, and is secured in position by adhesive. Preferably the cutting cord is in tape form and is secured beneath the flap 8 which folds on to the shorter flaps 6, 7, by the adhesive which fastens the flap 8 to the flaps 6, 7. The tape may however be secured beneath the final closure flap 9.
