[Class 39 (i)] The transparent or translucent, open-ended sheath 13 between the two walls 1, 2 of the discharge tube described in the parent Specification is extended to surround both electrode chambers 19 to maintain these at a high temperature and prevent condensation of metal therein. The sheath 13 is supported from the walls 1, 2 by helices 21, 22.
