Abstract

456,438. Boxes. MURRAY, J. P., 19, Elizabeth Street, Melbourne, Australia. Feb. 4, 1935, No. 3620. Void [Abridged as open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Aug. 6, 1935]. [Class 18] One, or both, of the side flaps 7d, 7e of the slide of a slide and shell type container is provided with an extension 8, creased to form, with the flap, three sides 7d, 8a, 8b of a subsidiary compartment 9, and a flange 8c which lies flat against the wall 7a of the slide and is secured under tongues 11. The creases of the flap 7d are slit at 12 to provide a floor 13 and a securing flap 13a, and at 15 to form a member 15a which may be bent outwardly to facilitate access to the contents. Part of an adjacent wall may be cut away, as at 15b. A tongue 14 supports the floor 13. The slide may contain cigarettes C, and the subsidiary compartment, matches M, the height of the floor 13 being such as to bring the heads of the matches level with the tops of the cigarettes. A striking surface 16 may be provided.
