[Class 7 (ii)] Cylinder heads of sleeve-valve engines are made of two parts screwed together, viz. a base B provided with pre-formed cooling ribs E, and an annular part B<1>. The machining of the outside including the ring grooves C<1>, C2 is effected after assembly. A pin B<2> is driven into a hole to lock the parts together.
