Abstract
511,868. Stays for hinged articles. BEATON & SON, Ltd., G., and ROBERTSON, P. G. Feb. 26, 1938, No. 6134. [Class 65 (i)] In a windscreen 10 of the kind that is hinged at the top edge and stayed by two relative adjustable members connected respectively to the windscreen and its fixed frame, the connections are universal joints 19, 20 arranged so that the members and joints do not project into the field of view. The stay may consist of two telescopic members 12, 15 adapted to be locked together by a screw clamp 17, 18, or it may consist of a slotted bar 35 jointed at 37 to the windscreen and sliding on a pin 36 jointed to the frame 22. Specification 1149/10, [Class 65 (i)], is referred to.
