[Class 106 (iv)] [Also in Group XX] For photographically recording the indications of an instrument such as a clock 5, or a speed or distance meter having a circular scale 6 so as to obtain uniform illumination of the whole of the scale, a condenser 3, 4 is employed so that the objective 7 produces an annular image of the whole of the illuminated scale. The lamp 1, reflector 2, annular condenser 3, 4, scale 6, and objective 7 are all arranged symmetrically about a single optic axis.
