696,172. Jigs. KLOCKNER-HUMBOLDTDEUTZ AKT.-GES. Sept. 10, 1951 [Sept. 9. 1950], No. 21281/51. Class 82(ii) In a hydraulic jig comprising a chamber with a screen 3 to which mineral is delivered and communicating with another chamber in which are provided mechanical or pneumatic means 2 for oscillating water to pass through the screen, a discharge chamber 5 adjacent to the screen chamber and in communication with it through a port 4 arranged above the screen is in communication with a further chamber 13 in which means 6 are provided for producing oscillations differing in phase from those in the screen chamber. The means 2, 6 may comprise plungers driven by differently-phased eccentrics 8, 9 on a common shaft 7, and the phase difference and length of stroke ,of the plungers may be adjustable.
