Abstract

797,491. Transformer radiators. ALLMANNA SVENSKA ELEKTRISKA AKTIEBOLAGET. Feb. 13, 1957 [Feb. 21, 1956], No. 4872/57. Class 64(3) A transformer radiator comprises a group of parallel tubes 1 having ends of rectangular cross-section and extending between and at right angles to tubular headers 3 which communicate with the transformer tank 4, a plurality of such tubes being positioned with the short sides 2 of their rectangular ends in abutment and then secured together in a group by weld joints along these short sides, the ends of the tube group then being welded into elongated slots in the tubular headers 3. The cross-sectional shape of the intermediate portions of the tubes 1 may be circular or elongated.
