Abstract
913,299. Optical gauges. HENSOLDT & SOHNE, OPTISCHE WERK A.G., M. Sept. 26, 1960 [Oct. 7, 1959], No. 32934/60. Class 106 (2). An instrument for determining the diameter of workpieces comprises a light source 3 directed on to diameter end points A, B and two two-compartment objectives 13, 14 and 19, 20 for imaging the points A, B on to a common plane viewed through an eyepiece 17. The ray paths between objective components 13, 14 and between objective components 19, 20, are parallel and components 13, 19 are displaceable by means of a measuring-screw 22 having one right-hand and one left-hand thread, the movement being read on a scale 28. Pentag prisms 12, 18 are provided in front of objective components 13, 19 to form virtual images of the nodal points on the axis of the screw 22. In an alternative embodiment, Fig. 2, the displaceable objective components are constructed as telephoto lenses 40, 41.
