Abstract

939,203. Cleaning textile machines. N. SCHLUMBERGER & CIE. March 19, 1962 [April 5, 1961], No. 10352/62. Class 120 (3). A receptacle for waste removed pneumatically from textile machines comprises a container 1, which may be a conventional sliver can, and a filter cap 4 connected to the suction pipe 17. The top of the filter cap comprises a filter 13 mounted on a rim 5 rigidly fixed to the machine by a bracket 16 and is connected to a lower rim 6 by a flexible filter wall 7. The weight of the cap is sufficient to seal the can 1. When the can 1 is full, the flexible filter is lifted and the can replaced. The pneumatic pipe 17 may instead enter through the top of the cap, and the filter cap may be made rigid and connected to the machine by a hinge and a flexible hose.
