Abstract
972,544. Balancing. KLOCKNER-HUMBOLDT-DEUTZ A.G. June 11, 1963 [July 28, 1962], No. 23196/63. Heading F1M. In a reciprocating piston type internalcombustion engine mass balancing of the second order is provided by four counterweights 16 which rotate at twice the speed of the crank-shaft 5 in such a manner that the counterweights situated on same side but on opposite ends of the crank-shaft have opposite directions of rotation. As shown the two banks of cylinders are arranged at a V-angle of 90 degrees to each other.
